About WordJumbler

WordJumbler started as a simple idea: word-game players — Scrabble fans, Words With Friends regulars, crossword solvers, and anyone stuck on a daily jumble puzzle — needed a fast, no-clutter way to see every word hidden inside a set of letters.

The tool works entirely in your browser. Type letters into the rack, and WordJumbler checks them against a dictionary of about 172,000 English words to find every valid match, sorted longest first. There's no account or sign-up, and the letters you type are never sent to our server — the word search happens locally on your device.

WordJumbler is free to use. It's supported by ads served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies as described in our Privacy Policy.

What makes WordJumbler different

• Blank tiles. Don't know one of your letters? Use * or ? as a wildcard standing in for any letter.
• Smart filters. Narrow results by starting letters, ending letters, or exact word length.
• Fresh random racks. The Shuffle button draws a brand new set of letters using realistic tile-frequency odds, similar to a real Scrabble bag.
• A big word list. WordJumbler uses the public-domain ENABLE word list, which includes the short and unusual words that win word games, like XU, QAT and ZAX. It's very close to the official tournament Scrabble dictionaries, though a few newer additions such as QI and ZA aren't included.
